Of the donations raised, 50% will help fund our trip and 50% will be given to important causes. Your business logo will be advertised on the pamphlets we will hand out (in 15 different states), and recognition on our website as well. * We cannot achieve these goals without your help.
25% of the donations raised will go towards World Vision, an International humanitarian group focusing on hunger issues. Hunger plagues the lives and futures of millions of people every day. Each year, 15 million children die of hunger. We are raising funds to make a mark on those going without by traveling cross-country, on bicycle, to raise awareness. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to this cause. You can find out more about World Vision here: http://www.worldvision.org/content.nsf/about/aboutus-home

The other 25% with go towards our local community through the group, Edible Flint. In dealing with hunger issues it is important to remember that developed countries have needs as well. In many urban areas people do not have access to fresh produce. Increasing tools and resources for individuals to create their own food helps to solve this problem. Edible Flint is a local group whose mission is to support Flint residents in growing and accessing healthy food in order to reconnect with the land and with each other. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Edible-Flint/237058061055?sk=info

Thank you for your time and interest in our cause. Sincerely,
Pedal to Feed

We're looking for adventurous people who want to make a difference!
We're looking for someone who will travel across America by bicycle with us.
This is not only an experience of a lifetime- but we are doing it to raise money for world hunger and the local the community!
We will work together to raise money to feed our brothers and sisters living day to day for their next meal and money for gardening projects in Flint, Michigan.
The trip is scheduled from May.2011 to August.2011.
If this grabs your interest and you'd like to know more: feel free to contact us, and ask away!
